I. MgO Board

MgO board, full name magnesium oxide board, is also called glass magnesium board or just magnesium board. There are mainly two types of MgO board: MgSO4 board and MgCl2 board. The main difference lies in ingredients.

II. MgSO4 Board

Also known as magnesium sulfate board or magnesium oxysulfide (MOS) board, is currently the most popular and the most widely used one on the market. Suparna is also producing this type mainly. Click here to order some.

III. MgCl2 Board

MgCl2 board, known as magnesium chloride board or Magnesium oxychloride (MOC) board, is the earliest type active on the market.

However, it may have serious problems with inappropriate production process. Since 2010 Denmark has witnessed a great loss of over EUR100 million caused by unqualified MgO “sweating board”. Since then, people prefer magnesium sulfate board than magnesium chloride board.

Luckily, we have solved this problem using the soaking technology. Now both types of Suparna MgO Board have similar performance.
